SUN 10:00 AM– Adult Sunday School
SUN 11:00 AM– Meeting for Worship; download bulletin
TUE 7:30 PM– Bible Study
We come to worship to hear God’s good news, to hear stories of faith, hope and love. We know that doubt, fear and hatred are everywhere
and can shake even the strongest. May we be shaped into faithful, hopeful people: may we be filled with God’s love that passes all understanding.
Bible Study starts 7:30 PM on Tuesdays via Zoom. Bible Study is currently reading Jesus, Christ and Servant of God: Meditations on the Gospel According to John by David Johnson. You do not need to have read or have a copy of the book available as we read a section and then discuss.
Sunday February 14 at 11:00 AM– God Is Love Intergenerational Worship– Instead of our usual order of service we will be creating a space accessible to all ages, attention spans and places on our spiritual journeys. Join us in song, prayer, brief waiting worship and activities that explore God’s love for us.
Quaker Religious Education Collaborative is hosting conversation circles on February 16 & 18. “Beyond Quakerism 101: How can Friends prepare to be a light in the world?” Early Friends, ignited by the Spirit during tumultuous times, ushered lasting change into the culture despite their small numbers. How can we, as Quaker religious educators today, prepare Friends to accompany the world into a new way of being? Click here for more information.
Friends International Prayer Gathering– As a global community, FUM gathers on the third Friday of each month to worship, listen to each other, and pray for the needs of our world. The next Friends International Prayer Gathering is on February 19 at 9:00 AM Pacific. We will gather through Zoom. Click here or call 312-626-6799. Enter meeting ID: 898 5594 6800.
Next Sunday, Feb. 21, we will have our Monthly Meeting for Business following service at 1:15PM.
Section of the Americas Section Meetings– The Section Meeting is the biggest conference organized by the Friends World Committee for Consultation, Section of the Americas. It is held every two years. All Friends are welcome to attend! Normally we meet in person, but this year that is not possible, so we will recreate as much of the experience as we can online. The schedule includes opportunities for worship, workshops, business sessions, and small group activities. It is a great opportunity to get to know and connect with more Friends from North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean and to learn more about the Friends World Committee!
