Where is the Adult in the Room?

  • The framing of having a new Moses continuously interceding for us offers an interesting counterbalance to the usual anxiety around needing an immediate earthly authority to step in. In times when people feel like they are groping through the darkness, finding reassurance in that ongoing spiritual presence rather than waiting on visible leaders shifts the responsibility back onto how the community itself responds. Does that perspective help ease the pressure of finding an immediate adult figure, or does it challenge us to step up into that role collectively?
