Nikki Holland, the new director of Friends United Meeting’s Belize Friends Ministries, will be speaking during this Sunday’s morning service.  Come and hear about her new role, the church in Belize and Friends work there.

Monthly Business Meeting and Potluck Luncheon is next Sun, May 19. Please bring a dish or be prepared to contribute $3.00 for supplies. We need a diversity of salads, casseroles, fruit, breads, etc. Be creative!

Quaker Christianity 101:  What does it mean for us to be Friends of Jesus?  This spring, Berkeley Friends Church will be exploring the basics of Christianity – the stories of the Bible, the power of the gospel, and the life of community in Jesus.  We hope you’ll join us for the following sessions, on Sundays from 12:30-2:00pm in the Fellowship Hall:  5/12 – “Exploring our Spiritual Gifts” 5/26 – “Letting Our Light Shine”

Free Ben Lomond Quaker Center workshops are available through the church’s membership subscription.  A complete list for the year is on the table in the back and can be found online.  The next workshop is Abundance and Justice in our Common Home with Shelley Tanenbaum and Sara Wolcott on May 31-June 2.    If interested in this or any other workshop on the list, please let John Mauer or Faith Kelley know ASAP.

Veneita Porter is walking in the San Francisco Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk for suicide prevention on June 8. If you would like to join her, she is looking for other walkers. If you would like to support her walk, donations can be made at theovernight.org. Search for her name in the “fundraiser search” box to give directly to her fundraising goal of $1000.
