This weekend @BFC: Umberto D, Singing Ensemble, Sunday School, Worship, Monthly Meeting

Dear Friends:

This full weekend at BFC includes:

1) Our first Friday Night at the Movies of 2015!

Presenting:

“Umberto D”

1952, Directed by Vittorio De Sica, Not Rated, 85 min.

This neorealist masterpiece follows an elderly pensioner as he strives to make ends meet during Italy’s postwar economic recovery. Alone except for his dog, Umberto struggles to maintain his dignity in a city where human kindness seems to have been swallowed up by the forces of modernization. See the flyer for more information.

TONIGHT, Friday, 1/16; refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Film at 7:00 p.m. Discussion to follow. ADMISSION IS FREE!

2) On Sunday, 1/18, the Singing Ensemble will rehearse at 9 AM; then our regular Sunday School classes for children and adults will meet at 10 AM. We gather for worship at 11 AM, with song, prayer, a presentation from the Singing Ensemble, and our regular third Sunday extended time of open worship.

Our monthly potluck lunch follows worship; please bring a dish to share if you can, or a few dollars to help with the purchase of supplies. (If you are bringing something to eat, please also bring a list of ingredients so that people know what’s in your dish.) Then at 1 PM, we will have our Monthly Meeting with a Concern for Business. Members should please attend, and all others are welcome.

We hope to have you with us for fellowship, study, worship and business!
